The Opportunity

We’re hiring a leader to operationalize and accelerate our Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) team, not from the sidelines, but in the trenches. This is a role for someone who has operated close to customers, understands the stakes of high-touch technical delivery, and knows how to build the connective tissue between engineering, product, and GTM.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and drive the execution of complex FDE engagements, acting as the force-multiplier across customer engagements, internal coordination, and technical delivery.

  • Partner directly with key customer stakeholders, creatively solving API & AI challenges to achieve customer outcomes.

  • Build systems for prioritization, staffing, and intake that flex with a customer-driven roadmap

  • Bring order to chaos: set up playbooks, communications loops, onboarding flows, and engagement tracking that actually help teams move faster, not slower

  • Operate with urgency and autonomy, surfacing ambiguity before it slows the team down

About You

  • 5 – 10 years in deeply cross-functional, customer-facing roles, think forward-deployed engineering, solutions architecture or customer engineering

  • You’ve played quarterback on complex technical engagements, you can track the tech, read the room, and hold multiple threads at once

  • You understand engineering workflows but aren’t afraid to challenge them if they slow customer progress

  • You’re equally comfortable driving a timeline, unblocking a GTM stakeholder, and writing a crisp doc for leadership

  • Bonus: background in API platforms, developer tools, or technical customer environments

Why This Role Matters

The FDE team is the tip of the spear, solving real customer problems, shaping product direction, and building from the field in real-time. You’ll be the force that turns a high-performing team into a scalable, repeatable machine, without sacrificing speed or impact.

The reasonably estimated base salary for this role ranges from $200,000 to $240,000, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is based on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
